The 52nd Annual Meeting of the European Finance Association (EFA) took place from August 20-23 at the SKEMA Business School in Paris, showcasing exceptional research contributions from SAIF faculty members.
Professor Dong Yan, Long-Term Associate Professor of Finance at SAIF, received the prestigious 2025 Pagano & Zechner Prize for her solo-authored paper "Do Private Firms (Mis) Learn from the Stock Market?" She also served as a discussant in a parallel session. Additional SAIF faculty members―including Professors Jun Pan, Chen Chen, and Qiushi Huang―had papers selected for presentation at this premier academic conference.
As the leading global platform in finance academia since 1974, the EFA Annual Meeting represents the highest standards in financial research. This year's program featured 72 parallel sessions across 9 daily tracks, covering vanguard topics such as "Asset Prices and Institutional Investors," "AI Applications in Finance," "Beliefs in Asset Pricing," and "Corporate Governance: Shareholders and Directors."

SAIF professors' academic achievements drew significant attention, reflecting the institute's growing influence in global financial research. Key contributions included:
"The Stock-Bond Correlation: A Tale of Two Days in the U.S. Treasury Market," co-authored by Jun Pan, SAIF Chair Professor of Finance, with Grace Xing Hu and Zhao Jin; "Network Factors for Idiosyncratic Volatility Spillover" by Chen Chen, Assistant Professor of Finance; and "Data as a Networked Asset," co-authored by Qiushi Huang, Assistant Professor of Finance, with Bo Bian, Ye Li, and Huan Tang.
Assistant Professors Ran Guo and Xiao Zhao also participated in the meeting, further demonstrating SAIF's comprehensive faculty engagement in international academic discourse.
